Grief Resources For Students, Families, and Staff: 
 

For students who want to access individual or group therapy, there are a variety of options. Daniela (D11), can help guide you to the option that’s best for you:

Online Resources:

  • For students and caregivers of students experiencing thoughts of suicide, there is Never a Bother.
  • East Bay Agency for Children has a resource created by their Circle of Care titled Tools and Resources for Supporting Grieving Children.
  • Kara- This organization has a wealth of resources on their website, and offers support for teens, families, and school communities, in addition to peer support groups. Their focus is on supporting through grief. 
  • Children’s Health Council has many online resources to guide students and families through grief and loss. 
  • Standby Support After Suicide is based in Australia, but has some good resources for students and families who have been impacted by suicide.
  • The Dougy Center is a Portland-based organization that supports children, teens, young adults, and caregivers through grief. They have a great library of resources.
